PHP Dir Submit is a powerful and effective web application tool that enables you to start a directory submission service business and make money with it. Instead of the dreadful chore of submitting one’s blog or website to several different directories one at a time, PHP Dir Submit allows the user to automatically submit a blog or website to more than 300 web directories, over 300 article directories, and over 300 social bookmarking sites. Those days of going to each directory and entering the same repetitive information is over with PHP Dir Submit. It one of those SEO scripts that saves the user a ton of time to do SEO work. You can even add your own bookmarking sites and directories to the PHP Dir Submit list, personalizing it to your specific needs.

Other features that are extremely useful include the ability to send email newsletters to individuals on your list. PHP Dir Submit is also created to integrate with PayPal, which makes it easy for one to build a business in which one submits sites for clients. The recent update to PHP Dir Submit added WordPress article support, which should be very useful for all you bloggers out there.

We have all had the experience of purchasing a product and have had zero support once we opened the box or attempted to use the item or application. This is definitely not the case with this product. PHP Dir Submit comes with lifetime directory updates and lifetime support. That in itself is confirmation that this is a great product made by great people. Directory sites are updated every three months, so you know that the directories are as accurate as possible. If you have a current website, you can integrate the PHP Dir Submit script to your personal site for as long as your own the site. Their team of experts can also design a customized template for you if you want.

Still reading? Well, check out the live demo on their site http:/demo.phpdirsubmit.com and see for yourself. The demo will allow you to test drive it before you buy. After the demo, I think you will find that the price of this script is very little, especially when you consider how much money it will make for you; but even if you just use it for your own sites, PHP Dir Submit will pay for itself in no time.

I was trying the other days to create a nice horizontal menu, from categories and subcategories like this website: diyguides.us . I like that magazine presentation very much and i struggled few days to get that fine look.

I have searched on internet, on wordpress official website, plug-ins for wordpress, but nothing too useful. Then i remembered about my programmer roots and started to do something about it, i have read the wordpress documentation and learned how categories are fetched and printed. Css was not an problem to me, and then i figured out at some point how i should proceed.

The whole idea is to fetch the first level of categories, tier one, and once one category is selected to fetch the child of this category.

This will be done using the following line code:, very simple, right?

wp_list_categories(‘depth=1&exclude=1&hide_empty=0&child_of=’.$this_category->category_parent.’&orderby=name&show_count=0&use_desc_for_title=1&title_li=’);

One challenge is when you click on level two category, this should not have anymore child but the brothers needs to be listed, so your navigation does not goes away. This, i’ve done it like this:

<?php

if (is_category()) {
$this_category = get_category($cat);
}
?>
<?php
if($this_category && $this_category->category_parent) {

$this_category = wp_list_categories(‘depth=1&exclude=1&hide_empty=0&child_of=’.$this_category->category_parent.’&orderby=name&show_count=0&use_desc_for_title=1&title_li=’);

} else if ($this_category) {

$this_category = wp_list_categories(‘depth=1&exclude=1&hide_empty=0&child_of=’.$this_category->cat_ID.’&orderby=name&show_count=0&use_desc_for_title=1&title_li=’);

}

?>

I am sure, that the code needs more improvement, but for begining, it is an starting point.

I will add in an future tutorial also the css styles, i will prepare them by then.

If you need more assistance from me, please don’t hesitate, i will gladly help you with it.
