Today, we will continue our series of tutorials, with a new one, an very simple one. I will show you how to create an frame effect, using one picture that we have already used in an previous tutorial.
Here is what we should get after reading the next tutorial:
First let-s create a new document, i have created an 800×400 px document, and fill it with dark grey color:

Now get an picture from internet, and paste it over your layer (i have used the one in previous tutorial):

Now, using the “Rectangular Marquee Tool” we will create an square on top of the image, as shown in the picture below:
Now go to Select-> Transform selection, and play with the selection, i have done like this:
Press “Confirm Transformation”. Now copy the portion of picture layer (CTRL+C), create a new layer (CTRL+SHIFT+N), and paste the selection over the new created layer:
Now select the picture layer, and press CTRL+U, you will open Hue/Saturation dialog:
Play with the sliders, and use your imagination. Once you have finnished, press the OK button, to apply the transformations. I have got this:
Now apply an Stroke (Color #FFFFFF, size 6px, Opacity 93%) for the colored layer. You should got something similar to this:
I have added again the glass effect from previous tutorial, and my final result is this one:

Hey, very nice and quick method. it would also be a cool plan to make it into a PS action so it can be re-used when required.
